ArcLand plans to organise a small 2-days experts roundtable meeting in Rethymno (Crete) together with the TOPOI excellence cluster of the Berlin Free University (http://www.topoi.org) and the Institute for Mediterranean Studies of the Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (IMS-FORTH) from 22 - 23 January 2014 to bring together 10-15 experts with a known expertise in using UAVs for archaeology.

Ottoman Sources on the Early Modern History of Lefkada, edited by Elias Kolovos, has just appeared by Crete University Press. The volume is a result of a research project carried by the Institute and funded by the Prefecture of Lefkada. The publication includes a historical introduction by Elias Kolovos, commented translations of the Ottoman sources in Greek, by Elias Kolovos and Marinos Sariyannis, and prolegomena by Spyros I. Asdrachas.
