Jana Dudková is a senior researcher at the Institute of Theatre and Film Research, CRA, Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava. She has also worked as an Associate Professor at Charles University in Prague and as an assistant professor at the Film and Television Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (2001-2012). Her main research interests include postcolonial and multicultural studies and transcultural influences in Slovak and Balkan audiovisual culture. She is the author of four monographs on Slovak and Balkan cinema and the co-author and co-editor of the volume Transformation Processes in Post-Socialist Screen Media (Bratislava, 2016).
