The first digital mapping of the project «SeaLiT» is already available to the public
The first digital mapping of the project «SeaLiT» (www.sealitproject.eu) is already available to the public.
It is about Ship Operation Services, an unexplored, but fundamental aspect of the shipping industry.
These services include the supply of food, fuel, working materials and equipment, freight and insurance agency, ship repairing, towing, piloting, and everything else related to shipping operation.
The application so far includes data from the cargo steamer Georgios M. Embiricos of the firm S.G. Embiricos of Andros based in Cardiff and Athens. The ship operated from 1904 to 1916 when torpedoed by a German submarine.
The application will be updated soon with more data from other ships that are under process at the moment.
