Angelos Plageras
Angelos Plageras is a Mineral Resources Engineer (Bsc) from the Technical University of Crete and holds a Master in Applied Geophysics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. From 2021 to 2022 he was a research and scholar associate of the Geophysical – Satellite Remote Sensing and Archaeonenvironment Laboratory of the Institute of Mediterranean Studies which belongs to the Foundation of Research and Technology Hellas. During that time he participated in more than 12 geophysical research projects of mainly archaeological interest in Greece and abroad. His main research interests lies in shallow marine geophysics (particularly in electrical, magnetic and electromagnetic methods) and in the reconstruction of the archaeoenvironment. Since April 2024 he is a PhD candidate in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His PhD thesis title is “Combined interpretation of electrical and electromagnetic geophysical methods for the investigation of sub-bottom layers in shallow aquatic environments” and he continues his partnership with GeoSat ReSeArch Lab as a research and scholar associate.
