Archive of Modern Greek Prosody: the romantic ballad
2003-2004
The aim of the project is the research, study and charting of a completely new unresearched genre of the Greek romantic period(1821-1880), the romantic ballad. The research of independently published books and journals of the period 1821-1882 will enable the locating and cataloguing of all poems which could be characterised as ballads, as well as a first concise description of the course of Greek ballad-writing before Giorgios Byziinos.
