Translation of the Ottoman Judicial Registers of Veroia

The aim of the project is the translation and publication of the Ottoman judicial records of the city of Veroia, which are located in the Imathia Branch of the General State Archives.

The aim of the project is the translation and publication of the Ottoman judicial records of the city of Veroia, which are located in the Imathia Branch of the General State Archives. The project has begun with the editing of record no. 1, which contains about 100 pages and covers the years 1602-1603. The publication will include introductory texts, transcripts and abstracts of the registry entries, glossary and indexes. The transcription and translation of the entries has been completed and their verification and analysis is under way.
